County Agencies - Lancashire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (LDAAT)
Who are we?
The Lancashire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (LDAAT) is a multi-agency team established in 1995 to implement the Government's Drug Misuse Strategy. The team consists of executive level support from the following partner agencies:

What Area Do We Cover?
The LDAAT covers all the districts within Lancashire County Council indicated opposite. Blackburn with Darwen, and also Blackpool Unitary Authorities have their own Drug Action Teams. However Lancashire DAT contributes funding to both Unitary Authorities as per the National Treatment Agency formula, and therefore share input into each others planning processes.

What is the Teams Vision?
To create a "healthy and confident society, increasingly free from the harm caused by the misuse of drugs", using a combined approach of enforcement, prevention and treatment within Lancashire.

What is our Purpose (Mission)?
To produce, commission, and performance manage an evidence based strategic plan for the development of drug treatment & prevention services for the health economies within Lancashire, within the pooled budget allocation.
To develop and influence the strategies, policies and activities of partner agencies, as a means to delivering the National Drugs Strategy.
What are our Values?
- We will work as a multi-disciplinary agency team as per legal and national guidance;
- We will support evidenced based service developments, which ensure equality of access to the population we serve;
- We also seek to prevent drug misuse among vulnerable and minority groups of individuals, and value user involvement in service planning.
What are our Objectives?
- Young People - To help young people resist drug misuse in order to achieve their full potential in society.
- Communities - To protect our communities from drug-related anti-social & criminal behaviour.
- Treatment - To enable people with drug problems to overcome them and live healthy crime-free lives.
- Availability - To stifle the availability of illegal drugs on our streets.
