Blackburn with Darwen - Community Safety Strategy

The Blackburn with Darwen Community Safety Partnership has developed the borough’s Community Safety Strategy for 2005-2008. In doing so, the Partnership has complied with its statutory duties under the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act (later amended by the Police Reform Act 2002).

The 2005-2008 Community Safety Strategy will respond to local community safety priorities. These priorities were identi?ed through an audit of crime, disorder and substance misuse, and consultation with residents and partner organisations, who live and work in the borough.

Whilst the Community Safety Partnership is committed to delivering the numerous targets detailed in the Strategy, a key outcome of this Strategy will be to achieve the Partnership’s vision of:

Improving the quality of life for all those who live, work and socialise in the borough.
