Burnley - Community Safety Partnership
The Burnley Community Safety Partnership was formed in autumn 1998 as a result of the Crime & Disorder Act 1998. The main objective of the Partnership is to be responsible for, and add value to, the development and effective delivery of the Burnley Community Safety Strategy. In order to fulfil this objective the Partnership will be required to address community safety issues identified within the Community Safety Audit of the Borough. The Audit is conducted on a 3 yearly basis and provides a detailed picture of the main crime and disorder issues that affect the people of Burnley.
The Partnership currently consists of representatives from Burnley Borough Council, Lancashire County Council, Lancashire Constabulary, Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Primary Care Trust, Lancashire Youth Offending Team, Community Alliance, Voluntary Action in the Community, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Burnley and Padiham Community Housing, Lancashire Police Authority and the National Probation Service (Lancashire).
In effect, we will work together to make Burnley a safer place to live, work and visit.
