Pendle - Community Safety Strategy 2002-2005
The Crime and Disorder Act requires local authorities and the Police to work together – with other agencies – to formulate and execute a strategy to reduce crime and disorder, in consultation with the local community.
To comply with the Act, Pendle Borough Council, Lancashire County Council and Lancashire Police Constabulary (Pennine Division) have agreed to adopt a Pendle based approach. This will build upon and add value to existing Partnerships and work. It will relate to both community safety and crime.
The main issues that have been identified are:
A. Domestic Burglary
B. Drugs and Alcohol misuse
C. Juvenile Nuisance
D. Road Safety
