Preston - Crime Audit 2002
Preston Community Safety Partnership was established by the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, which also required the Partnership to develop and implement a strategy to reduce crime and disorder in the Preston Area. The Strategy must be based on evidence of the local crime problem and the experiences of local people, and every three years the Partnership examines these issues in order to keep the Strategy fresh and suitable to a changing situation. This process is called a Crime Audit, and this report is a summary of the key issues and findings. It will form the main basis for the new Community Safety Strategy. It will also be used as a further opportunity to consult on the findings.
