Ribble Valley - Community Safety Strategy 2002-05
The Crime and Disorder Act, 1998, placed a statutory duty on Ribble Valley Borough Council, Lancashire County Council, Lancashire Constabulary, East Lancashire Health Authority and Lancashire Probation Service to work together with other partners to produce and implement a three year strategy to reduce crime and disorder in the Ribble Valley. This is our second three year strategy.
All the relevant partners are publicly accountable and subject to audit and inspection. This document sets out the framework for our partnership working and will focus resources to areas of greatest need.
Our strategy is a living document, which will evolve and respond to the changing nature of crime and disorder. It is aimed at improving the quality of life for people who visit, work and live in the Ribble Valley. Hopefully, it will also help our communities feel safe, involved and reassured.
