South Ribble - Crime Audit 2004-05


The South Ribble Community Safety Partnership was established following the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. This new multi agency approach to fighting crime and disorder has given us the opportunity to explore new and innovative ways of making South Ribble an even safer place to live.

The Partnership has a statutory duty to produce a Community Safety Strategy every three years. The second Strategy expires at the end of March 2005. This Audit document is the first phase in the production of the next Strategy for 2005-2008. This document is very important as it sets out priorities for action based upon the recorded crime and disorder figures. However, the figures do not necessarily tell the full story. That is why we need your views and comments so that these can be considered before the next Strategy is produced.

The Partnership has made great strides since 1998, and I would like to thank all the partners for their work and diligence over the last six years. However, the Partnership cannot work in isolation.
