South Ribble - Community Safety Initiatives
The development of the Community Safety Strategy 2005 -2008 is now underway for South Ribble, including themes of crime, anti-social behaviour, drugs, alcohol harm reduction and domestic abuse.
As part of this process we are gathering information on the various initiatives in the borough to tackle crime. We are seeking a summary from those in the business sector, voluntary organisations, community groups and our traditional partners on the work they have been involved in over the past three years to improve community safety and reduce fear of crime.
Helpful summaries will identify the community safety concerns that your work has addressed and provide us with information on the measures implemented and the results achieved. If there have been barriers to overcome or lessons learnt, we would also be interested in hearing more about these. Our aim is to identify the successes and build on these in the future strategic initiatives, using the skills and knowledge already developed.
To assist you we have provided a summary sheet with a number of headings for guidance. Information about your work should be sent to Heather Corson, Community Safety Support Officer in South Ribble at the address included on the form and will be welcome receipt of this over the next few weeks. It would be however be helpful if completed forms could be submitted by 18th February 2005.
