South Ribble - Community Safety Strategy
The South Ribble Community Safety Partnership was established following the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. We have a statutory duty to produce a community safety strategy every three years, and this is the second South Ribble Community Safety Strategy that the Partnership has produced. It will run from April 2002 to March 2005.
The Strategy was produced following an extensive audit of crime and disorder statistics in the borough and a major consultation exercise.
The Strategy is a working document which will not sit on a shelf for the next three years. The Partnership will use a multi-agency approach to ensure that the actions contained in the Strategy are properly implemented. In addition, we need to know that the actions we carry out contribute to reducing crime and disorder in the borough. Therefore, we will monitor all the actions and evaluate them on a continuous basis.
It is our aim to make South Ribble an even safer place, and I believe that the implementation of this Strategy will help to achieve this.
