Community Safety Partnership and Contact Details

West Lancashire District Council is a principal member of the West Lancashire Community Safety Steering Group which works to reduce Crime and Disorder in West Lancashire.

Other partners in the Steering Group, include Lancashire Constabulary, Lancashire County Council, Elected Members from District, County and Parish Councils, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Neighbourhood Watch and many other organisations

West Lancashire is already one of the safest places in the United Kingdom to live and work and the District Council is committed to making it even safer.

The Council has developed innovative schemes to tackle Crime and Disorder, including: -

The Community Warden Service which regularly patrols all areas within the District and works in close liaison with local Police. They provide a visible, uniformed presence on the streets and other public places, and play a supportive role to existing Council services, which includes the reporting of damage to property, graffiti and fly tipping.
CCTV Systems - The Council has invested in cutting edge technology and has recently secured additional government funding to extend the system across the District.
