Latest LDAAT Newsletter - Edition June 2009 - 07/07/2009
Circulate is the regular newsletter from the Lancashire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (LDAAT). Its purpose is to show how the LDAAT partnership works across the county towards the goal of reducing drug and alcohol misuse, helping to make Lancashire a healthier and safer place to live.
These are exciting times at the partnership. In addition to holding a series of events as part of National Tackling Drugs Week in June 2009, showcasing the work now underway, LDAAT is embarked upon a major service modernisation programme. We are working closely with partner providers and others to jointly re-commission substance misuse services in the county. The aim is to develop a treatment system that more closely meets the needs of local populations, getting more people into services, delivering better value for money and helping reduce crime.
